An Indian Catholic priest, Father Tom Uzhunnalil, is rumored to have been gruesomely crucified by ISIS on Good Friday.
The chief Catholic priest in Arabia had confirmed that the Salesian priest was kidnapped in Yemen when in early March, the Islamic State kidnappers raided a nursing home that is being run by Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity.
The priest added that killed 16 Christian nuns, nurses and patients were also, killed by the ISIS men in the attack and they had issued threats to execute Father Uzhunnalil in the same way that the Romans had killed Jesus Good Friday.
Media reports alleged that Father Uzhunnalil was crucified on Easter Day to mock the Christians, confirmed by Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna, at the Easter Vigil Mass where he claimed that the gunmen who killed 16 people, including four nuns, in the brutal attack, had carried out their threat of crucifying the priest.
But the chief catholic priest in Arabia denied the earlier reports that Father Uzhunnalil has been murdered but confirmed that he was kidnapped and is still in the custody of the Islamic State militants.
A Catholic group known as the Franciscan Sisters of Siessen had taken to its Facebook page last week to post a message on the kidnap of Fr.Tom and how he was being tortured by as kidnapped by ISIS, with plans of being crucified on Good Friday.
While the Catholic bodies believe he is still alive but in the hands of militant group, they call for “serious concerted prayers' from all concerned for the safety and release of the priest.
